Pottery Workshop: Smudge Dishes & Match Strikers
Join us for a creative and grounding pottery workshop where you’ll craft beautiful, functional pieces to enhance your ritual. In this hands-on class, we will make smudge dishes for Palo Santo, Sage & Incense along with a match striker to light your smudges with ease and intention.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn a variety of pottery techniques, including handbuilding, shaping, and glazing, to create these essential items for your smudging practice. You’ll craft a dish designed to reflect your personal style, while also making a match striker to help you effortlessly light your cleansing tools with a spark of intention.
The class will cover:
- Handbuilding techniques, such as slab work, and pinch pots, to form your smudge dish and match striker
- Incorporating functional design elements like grooves or striking surfaces for the match striker
- Adding textures, symbols, or personal touches that reflect your personality
- Glazing techniques to finish your pieces with a beautiful, functional surface

- Workshop will last approximately 2 hours
THIS DATE IS WHEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR PROJECT; You will chose your GLAZE DAY while you are at your workshop. You will not take your project home with you; it needs to be fired after the workshop.
